Former Ultimate Fighter winner Kendall Grove earned a big win over former NCAA wrestling champion Jake Rosholt Saturday night at UFC 106.

Rosholt knew he wanted to go to the ground against the tall and lanky Grove, and he slammed Grove early in the first round. But Grove maintained his composure despite being on the ground with an excellent wrestler, and he attempted a number of submissions before finally sinking in a triangle choke and getting Rosholt to tap in the first round.

"The triangle, that's my thing," Grove said. "Ever since I started jiu jitsu, with my long legs."

A tearful Grove dedicated the fight to his grandmother, who died last week. It was a very impressive win for a fighter who's been through a lot in the last week. Grove improved his record to 11-6. Rosholt falls to 6-2.
