UFC 106 Live Blog: Kendall Grove vs. Jake Rosholt Round-by-Round Updates

This is the UFC 106 live blog for Kendall Grove vs. Jake Rosholt, the first of two bouts on the Spike TV card.

Rosholt, who beat Chris Leben in August, will look to make it two-in-a-row against The Ultimate Fighter contestants, when he fights Grove, the season three winner.

Round 1: Grove has a ridiculous reach advantage. Grove feels out Rosholt with jabs. Rosholt jabs forward. Rosholt jabs though, to set up the takedown, which he utilizes to slam Grove. Grove stands up but Rosholt slams him back down. Grove battles back into clinch. Grove puts the 4-time All-American on his back. Rosholt gets to his feet and he chases Grove with punches. Rosholt attempts to toss Grove and Grove defends, but he ends up on his back. Rosholt takes full mount. Grove gives up his back and puts him to halfguard. Grove traps Rosholt in a triangle-armbar. Grove pulls Rosholt's head down to apply pressure for the triangle, and Rosholt quickly taps.
