Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard extended his undefeated streak to 15 (excluding a draw) Friday at Cage Fighting Championship 11 in Sydney, Australia, stopping UFC veteran Kalib Starnes in the first round.
Lombard took Starnes down and ground and pounded his way to a referee stoppage. Above is the video of Lombard's entrance.
Lombard, a Cuban with citizenship in Australia, was a mainstay for the CFC promotion and his fight against Starnes was Lombard's sixth CFC title defense.
Lombard, who was crowned the Bellator middleweight champ in June after stopping previously undefeated Jared Hess, received permission from Bellator to accept the fight to stay active until season two begins in April 2010.
Successfully avoiding the upset, he'll return to his camp at the American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Fla. as one of Bellator's top fighters.
