Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski is looking to fight by the end of the year and could be competing at Strikeforce: Evolution on Dec. 19 or in Japan with Sengoku or Dynamite!! 2009 on New Year's Eve.FanHouse has learned that Arlovski's management has been in discussions with the aforementioned organizations and Arlovski is currently training to potentially fight on one of those cards.
Interestingly, Arlovski, who is coming off a pair of knockout losses this year to Fedor Emelianenko in January and Brett Rogers in June, could have fought on the Fedor vs. Rogers card this past weekend. Arlovski was offered Mike Whitehead, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (Whitehead and Sokoudjou would have moved up in weight) and finally Antonio Silva, but parties could not agree to the matchups.
Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker teased the media late Saturday at the Fedor vs. Rogers post-fight conference by saying that there will be two big heavyweight signings to be announced within the next 10 days. Could Arlovski be one of them?

scott coker is a man of his word. i think arlovski might be fighting one of the two 'secret' HW signees, although i would be surprised if he were actually one of them. however, i will be excited regardless to see him fight. for strikeforce or in japan.

My god exp I have been reading the fedor articles leading up to the fight and I see you trolling all over them with your fedor hatred, why do you put so much effort into bashing on fedor? It's not even that your comments are wildly exaggerated and often untrue, if you actually relaxed about the whole fedor trolling thing you would have probably enjoyed the fight, I thought it was an exciting fight and it really shows that Brett Rogers is a force to be reckoned with. I too want to see a Fedor vs Lesnar fight but at the moment I think fedor is far more well rounded , he would dominate lesnar standing up but if it went to the ground it would be a toss up, I'll like to see Lesnar prove himself a bit more, a win against Carwin and a win against JDS or big Nog would definitely prove that he is the real deal, and in terms of fedor I think he has Josh barnett next or overeem and exp can I just ask out of curiousity who your favorite fighters are?

How was Fedor exposed? He had his nose broken with a stiff jab by a guy that weighs 285 lbs and has 9 ko's in his ten previous fights.
So what, if you watched that fight Fedor still won the first round. He was bleeding from that jab, and he was hit by 3 clean shots while on his back, nothing looked like it even bothered the guy.
How did Fedor get on his back? He took Rogers down at least three times in that round, he clocked Rogers with a huge left in the middle of that round, and the time Rogers landed his shots came as he rolled out of a kimura attempt by Fedor. Don't forget the attempted arm bar out of that flurry so there's at least two submission attempts, at least two takedowns and at least one big flurry of punches by Fedor in that first round.
Second round Rogers gets steamrolled by the hardest hitter in mma but somehow in alternate universe land, Fedor was being beaten up, wtf?

By the way if SF lands Arlovski, add him to the talent already in SF and you have a HW division that is definitely better than the UFC's.
There's other rumours that Josh Barnett might get signed as well. Tell me who in the UFC can stand with Arlovski, Barnett and Fedor? Of course few can stand with Rogers or Overeem as well.
