Strikeforce Announce Teams Set for Upcoming Back-to-Back Shows

Al Bernstein, the long-time boxing announcer, will return to the mixed martial arts broadcast booth on Nov. 6 for the Strikeforce Challengers event in Fresno, Calif.
The organization's regular play-by-play announcer for the Challengers events, Mauro Ranallo, will be in Chicago on Nov. 7 calling the action for the Strikeforce/M-1 Global event on CBS. FanHouse learned of the decision on Monday.
That weekend will undoubtedly be the busiest in Strikeforce's history. The organization, which has been promoting MMA events since 2006, has never held shows on back-to-back days, thus forcing them to bring in Bernstein. Ranallo will be calling the Challengers action once again on Nov. 20.
While Bernstein is known for his work in boxing, he did call one ShoXC event on Oct. 26, 2007. Above is a clip of Bernstein calling the Shayna Baszler-Jennifer Tate match on that show.
Here's how the broadcast teams will look:
Showtime Challengers event: Bernstein, Stephen Quadros, Pat Miletich
CBS event: Gus Johnson, Mauro Ranallo, Frank Shamrock
According to MMA Junkie, Strikeforce has also announced the remaining bouts for the televised portion of the Nov. 6 show. Below is a look at the updated card:
Billy Evangelista vs. Jorge Gurgel
Brandon Cash vs. Shane del Rosario
Luke Rockhold vs. Jesse Taylor
Ousmane Thomas Diagne vs. Warren Merritt
Zoila Frausto vs. Elisha Hellspur

u mean i don't have to wait for ufc to put a show on spike to watch live mma anymore??
2 years strikeforce has roster as deep as ufc.
In 2 years Strikeforce goes bankrupt. Deep as the UFC's...lol that is funny.
Once upon a time people said the same thing about the UFC compared to Pride FC. I'd say it's pretty likely that Strikeforce will just keep getting better and better this is especially true with the strategic alliances Coker has forged with Dream and the number of talented prospects he's brought into the fold.
It's not like SF is some fly by night company like Elite XC or Affliction. They have a business model that works, great fighters and a network TV deal. Why would they be bankrupt?
They're roster is already deeper than most people give them credit for having. I'd love to see the best SF fighters co-promoted in an event against the best UFC fighters. That would be pretty freaking cool.

Anderson Silva vs Jake Shields
Georges St.Pierre vs Nick Diaz
BJ Penn vs Josh Thomson
That would an awesome and very competitive card. All of those fights would be compelling in their own right. Thats not even including the fighters from Dream like Aoki, Kawajiri or Yamamoto.
You really have to like what Strikeforce is doing.
