UFC 104: Anthony Johnson KOs Yoshiyuki Yoshida in 41 Seconds

Anthony Johnson knocked out Yoshiyuki Yoshida in just seconds at UFC 104, whipping a smaller man in a bout between two fighters who should be in different weight classes.

The fight was supposed to be contested at the 170-pound welterweight limit, but the muscular, 6-foot-2 Johnson weighed in at 176 pounds. This should be Johnson's last welterweight fight; he's too big to make 170 and the UFC should insist that he move up to middleweight.

As it happened, Yoshida agreed to take the fight even though Johnson couldn't make weight, and he paid for it as Johnson knocked him out quickly. A brutal right hand sent Yoshida to the canvas, and referee Steve Mazagatti stopped the fight after just 41 seconds.

Johnson apologized in the Octagon afterward for failing to make weight, saying a knee injury kept him from cutting weight the way he'd like to.

With the win, Johnson improved his professional MMA record to 8-2. Yoshida falls to 11-4.
