Oh man!!!! Is any one else as excited as i am for Brown/Aldo, and Gracia/Gamburyan, i cant wait and i hope WEC doesnt go to PPV like they want to i love watching them on versus.
Im gonna have to take Aldo on this one he is a beast, i think hes gonna get the belt and defend it several times
yeah, i'm jacked for this one.
wec totally rocks their past few cards from top to bottom have been awesome. and imo, their cards have turned out to be the best mma has to offer.
although, unlike most here i'm pulling for my boy brown.
hopefully, if he wins (brown) he will start to get the respect he deserves.
I don't have a dog in the fight but in my opinion Jose Aldo is a superior striker to Mike Brown and a better fighter. I think Aldo knocks him out easily. Also, I don't think Brown is the real and deal and he certainly isn't one of the best fighters in the world.
The first fight with Faber he got that lucky punch and ended it early. The second fight Faber had TWO broken hands and would have submissted Brown if his hands weren't broken not to mention he had to throw elbow strikes from round 3 on into the the 5th round. Yet Brown still couldn't finish Faber.
I think Mike Brown is a good fighter but not a great fighter. If he beats Jose Aldo decisively then I'll give him his credit. In my opinion Aldo and Faber are better fighters than Brown. Just my 2 cents ...
I think that the WEC has put on better shows than the UFC but in my opinion it's been Sengoku & Dream that have had the best MMA this year. Thats just one mans opinion though ... can't wait for this card though.
Late October and all through November will be the best time for MMA fans. We've got UFC & Dream this Saturday, Fedor in early November, I belive 3 UFC cards as well and now this WEC card as well as whatever HD Net puts on ... wow it's going to be great.
Cub Swanson
Chris Mickle
Rolando Perez
Jonathan Brookins
... these are the fighters Aldo was facing while Mike Brown was fighting:
Urijah Faber (twice)
Leonard Garcia
Jeff Curran
Brown is a beast at 145, and as he said in an interview, he just needs to "Grab him and put my old man strength on him" ... or something like that.
Brown will avoid the athletic strikes of Aldo and wear him down. The stoppage will probably come in the 3rd or 4th IMO.
You see I think Brown will get hit with one of those vicious Aldo kness and this fight won't get out of the first or second round.
You make it sound like Aldo wasn't impressive in his fights. None of those guys are stiffs and he completely dominated them ... I'm talking some beat downs and these are good fighters.
If Brown beats Aldo he deserves some credit for sure but I'm expecting Aldo to win with a violent knock out. He is to athletic and agressive for someone as slow and plodding as Brown.
Johnny - I'm sorry but I don't buy the Brown got lucky TWICE against Faber theory! How many times does Brown have to beat him?
Also, I disagree that Aldo's opponents have been "good fighters" ... for one - Perez has a record of 4-3. Brown has faced the better opposition, and I think his experience and strength will show in his fight with Aldo.
manny will win, and karen will win.
