Lyoto seems to be a special breed out there which is very exciting and refreshing. I hope he goes all the way...
I think Machida is a great fighter but I still want to see him win a few more fights before he is P4P as good as Silva, Fedor, GSP etc ...
And seriously ... Shogun Rua the #1 contender? I'm not buying that just because he beat two geezers in Coleman & Liddell. I think the #1 contender is Rampage Jackson or Gegard Mousasi ... but those fights aren't happening anytime soon.
Do to injuriesm, adjusting to the cage, and new rules, we haven't seen the best of Shogun in the UFC. Don't forget that Shogun owned Rampage in Pride ... along with guys like Alistair & Arona.
Ehh, Wanderlei owned Jackson in Pride too . . . =P
I agree. Rampage is deserving of the number 1 spot, but such is the business of the sport.
But Rampage was more of a wild man when he was in Pride. I think he has gotten better since then. Though we don't know if Rampage will be back in the UFC or fighting anytime soon.
