Mike Kyle Out to Prove His Career Resurgence Is 'No Fluke'

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Mike Kyle knows he can't escape his past. Fans will always remember his illegal soccer kick against Brian Olsen at WEC 20. However, the veteran fighter is slowly giving the MMA community new reasons to talk about him. And thankfully, they're a lot more positive.

In June, Kyle pulled off a shocking upset over light heavyweight contender Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante. On Saturday, Kyle will step in on short notice to face Strikeforce newcomer, Fabricio Werdum. A win over Werdum will surely open up many more eyes.

FanHouse spoke to Kyle about turning his career around and playing the role of the underdog once again. Check out the interview below.
