Fabricio Werdum Excited to Start Anew in Strikeforce on Saturday Night

SAN JOSE, Calif. - A year ago, Fabricio Werdum was on the verge of competing for the UFC heavyweight title. However, a shocking knockout loss to Junior dos Santos put a wrench in those plans and ultimately ended his UFC career.

"Vai Cavalo" hopes to get his MMA career back on track with Strikeforce, as he will be making his debut for the organization on Saturday night against Mike Kyle. Werdum was originally scheduled to fight Alistair Overeem for the Strikeforce heavyweight title, but Overeem pulled out of the bout after aggravating an old hand injury.

FanHouse spoke to Werdum about facing Kyle on short notice and rebounding from the dos Santos loss. The full video interview is below.
