Ron Kruck of HDNet's "Inside MMA" confirmed the matchups in a taped segment on the channel during the intermission of DREAM.10 Monday in Saitama, Japan.
In the featherweight semifinals, Joe Warren will take on Bibiano Fernandes and Hiroyuki Takaya will fight Hideo Tokoro. The winners will meet the same night to crown the first DREAM featherweight champion.
Warren (2-0) of Team Quest could complete his campaign for breakout fighter of the year if he can end the night with a DREAM belt around his waist. The tireless wrestler won his MMA debut in March against former WEC champion Chase Beebe via TKO and followed in May with a shocking upset over Norifumi "KID" Yamamoto. He'll face Fernandes (5-2) of Brazil, a Revolution Fight Team member coming off a win over DEEP champion Masakazu Imanari.
Tokoro (22-16-1) snapped a three-fight losing streak with his rear-naked choke submission over Abel Cullum at DREAM.9 and will look to add another chapter to his Cinderella story in October when he squares off against Takaya (11-6-1), who is 2-0 since returning to Japan after two straight losses in the WEC last year.
For DREAM's openweight tournament, Gegard Mousasi (25-2-1) will square off against Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (6-4) and Ikuhisa Minowa (42-30-8) will battle his latest giant, Hong Man Choi (2-2). Unlike the Featherweight GP, the finals of the Super Hulk tourney will happen at a later date.
