Strikeforce rolled the dice Tuesday by holding a press conference for its upcoming Gina Carano vs. Cristiane Santos 145-pound title fight on August 15 in unchartered territory for MMA: Madison Square Garden's WaMu Theatre. The event, which features three other title fights, airs live on Showtime. Afterwards, both competitors held a public workout outside MSG. While the obvious point of this event was to promote the upcoming show, it did help raise awareness for a sport which is currently banned in New York State, as many fans were getting their first glimpse of MMA.
FanHouse spoke to Carano about meeting the New York press and her toughest challenge to date. The full video interview is below.

You should have told Gina what else Kit Cope said in that interview.
I want Gina to win, but I have the feeling things are going to get real ugly for her in this fight.
Of course sweet Gina is my favorite female mma fighter.im very concerned about her fighting Cyborg.Cyborg could beat many men her size.Plus Cyborg looks VERY 'ROIDED.Good luck Gina girl.
Gina may be the face for womens mma but will she have one after Cyborg I think not?
I want Gina to win, but they both look roided.
Someone needs to check cyborg for testicles
What just because someone is ripped that automatically means their on something maybe she just put in her work without delving into the pharmaceutical grab bag you FKN pencil neck's...
YOU ALL CAN HAVE GINA,I'LL TAKE 'MY BABY' TARA LAROSA ANY DAY.
gina carano is a real cutie. the "cyborg" is real scary and i'm thinking that she's been 'enhanced' a little bit. gina had better be careful or this monster will put her to sleep. God speed, gina.
Something is wrong with that picture. Those arms do not look like a female's arm. Hate to see real harm to either of them, but looks like a mismatch.
They are going to be showing the Carano vs Cyborg fight (for free) on http://freetvfeeds.com on Aug 15th.
Gimme a break, CYBORG has obviously been on a cycle of Deca/Winstrol/Anavar - take your pic of anabolics.
To LARGEHUMAN, ur either very naive or a complete idiot. Compare CYBORGS body now with what she looked like in her last fight. It's virtually impossible for a woman to put on that much muscle mass in such a short time without Anabolics. To build muscle, you need Testosterone & a woman's body naturally produces negligble amounts. Nothing close to what would be needed to produce that amount of muscle mass.
...And a workout regimen alone wouldn't alter a woman's jaw structure like that...
