Former UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture was, like almost every mixed martial arts fan I've heard from in the last three days, disappointed in the way Brock Lesnar acted after beating Frank Mir at UFC 100. And Couture sounds like he's angling for a shot at Lesnar himself.
"I didn't really expect him to lose his mind after the fight, but he did," Couture said of Lesnar. "That's just not the kind of thing our sport is known for, those kinds of antics and those kinds of comments."
Couture also took a shot at Lesnar for saying he planned to get on top of his wife, Rena Mero, who's better known as the WWE star and former Playboy cover girl Sable.
"I'm thinking, What, is that a special occasion?," Couture said. "You're married to Sable, you'd think that'd be happening all the time."
Although UFC President Dana White has said he expects the winner of the Shane Carwin-Cain Velasquez fight at UFC 104 to get the next shot at Lesnar, Couture came across like he's itching to have a rematch with Lesnar, who beat him in November. If Couture beats Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira next month at UFC 102, I think there's a good chance we'll get to see Couture-Lesnar 2.
And Couture seems like he's confident he'd do better in a rematch than he did the first time around, saying of Lesnar, "Somebody's going to kick your butt."

For all of you "BIG LESNAR FANS" that see nothing wrong with his post fight comments, watch the Randy (How a true champion acts) Couture, interveiw. This is how a UFC champion conducts himself, without insults, obsurd mounting comments, or sponser lambasting. Just simple and to the point commentary.
Randy get in there and kick his ass, myself and millions of true UFC fans beleive in you.
Or you can take the kid out of the University of Minnesota but you can't take the University of Minnesota out of the kid. Lesnar was already being an unsportsmanlike prick to opponents--and being allowed to be one--when he was at the U of M under the "much lauded" J Robinson--a guy who incidentally didn't allow his wrestlers to learn or compete in things like judo, jj or mma in the off-season for decades when opportunities were extended. Because they might get hurt? Naw, because "it'll teach you bad habits." Robinson was so focused on his own sport and his own championships that nothing else mattered, which of course fits the idea of snaring a scholarship for a steamrolling behemoth. But hey, maybe if Brock had been picking up those "bad habits" in cross-training he wouldn't have been so pissed about getting schooled by little ol' Frank Mir first time around--and this result notwithstanding, J, you can never undo the past--your meathead still got SCHOOLED the first time around. (And by the way, maybe your own guys that so often make the Olympics would have actually MEDALED there more often since, duh, the rule set is different in freestyle and Greco compared to college too! Funny how the Russians, who cross-trained for years, always did so much better. Funny how guys like Randy Couture, or Matt Hughes or Frank Trigg or ... the list goes on ... carried over their skill set so much better to mma.) I was all ready to give props to Lesnar for improving and properly utilizing his strengths, especially since he trains under a good guy in Greg Nelson. But like I said, you can take the University of Minnesota out of the kid ...
Im assuming most lesnar fans watch WWE and like Kimbo.
Randy is talking tough so he can get another shot at Brock ONLY so he can make some money. Brock just increased everyone's pay so Randy wants to get paid. Regular PR stuff. He's just as scared of Brock as the rest of the UFC boys. cheap checks cheap personal checks
holy crap that sideshow lesner sent peoples views of mma back 15yr when it was outlawed in all but a few states when fighters were looked at like uneducated barbarians.till fighters like ortiz, hughs, coutre an any many others worked hard to show the world that fighters could complete a sentance with out spitin on the camera,I as an mma fan will never watch a ppv with lesner on it an if dana brings in more sideshows i will get my mma fix elsewhere.
