LAS VEGAS -- This is the UFC 100 live blog for light-heavyweight matchup between Stephan Bonnar and former UFC heavyweight champion Mark Coleman. The live blog is below.
Round one: Bonnar comes out southpaw. After overextending himself on a punch, Bonnar finds himself the victim of a trademark Hammer takedown. Bonnar looks for subs. The crowd starts a "Coleman" chant as Bonnar tries to get upright. Bonnar throws a series of elbows to the head. Bonnar had Coleman's left arm trapped between his legs, giving him free reign over one side. Bonnar looked for a kimura as time ran out.
Round two: Bonnar lands a solid early left. Coleman looks gassed. Bonnar tried a backfist and spun right into Coleman's range. The legend took him down and bloodied him with a hellacious elbow. Bonnar worked to escape while Coleman tried to add to the damage. Coleman kept his position and scored with hammerfists. We should be one round apiece going into the third.
Round three: Coleman tries his shot at 4:15. Bonnar sprawls, but Coleman is relentless, taking him off his feet for a moment. After an eternity, he gets the takedown. Bonnar is unable to get up. Every once in a while, he manages an elbow from the bottom, but Coleman is doing slightly more. With 30 seconds to go, Coleman took his back. Bonnar worked hard, and finally got to the top position just as the round ran out. Coleman will likely will a two rounds to one decision.
Winner: Coleman via unanimous decision (29-28 all three judges)
