Days after his loss to Rich Franklin at UFC 99, Wanderlei Silva says he has no interest in retiring, and that he hopes the UFC will allow him to fight twice more this year, once in September and once in December.

Silva says that although he respects the judges' ruling as final, he believes after watching the tape of his unanimous decision loss to Franklin that the judges should have awarded him the fight. And although Silva, the former Pride superstar, is now just 1-3 in the UFC, he says he believes he's getting better as he learns new training methods, and he thinks he'll be better still the next time he steps into the Octagon.

"I have great desire to keep fighting and I don't think about retirement," Silva said. "Whoever wants to see Silva retired will have to wait."

Silva says he'll be ready to go within three months, which means we might be seeing him at UFC 103, which is tentatively scheduled for September 19 in Dallas.

"I need to fight more," Silva said. "I need to compete more often. So please, boss, if they give me a match for September I want to try to fight in September and December. ... If the boss gives me the opportunity I will be fighting."
