Norifumi "KID" Yamamoto's next MMA fight may not happen until September now that he has accepted a kickboxing fight at K-1 World MAX on July 13 in Tokyo.

Yamamoto won't be fighting on the next DREAM card, which is a week after this K-1 World MAX card. The following DREAM event is DREAM 11 in September.

Yamamoto (17-2 MMA) is coming off a surprising loss to Joe Warren (2-0) in the Featherweight GP quarterfinals at DREAM 9 on May 26. Yamamoto, nursing a knee injury, was returning to the ring for the first time since New Year's Eve 2007.

Yamamoto will face Jae-Hee Cheon, a Korea Muay Thai junior lightweight champion with a K-1 record of 0-1.
