UFC President Dana White said this week that he and Cro Cop agreed to an unprecedented verbal deal, and that White had never in the nine years he's been running the UFC allowed a fighter to step into the Octagon without a written contract in place. After UFC 99, White said he felt that Cro Cop had betrayed him.
White's comments about Cro Cop's move to Dream included:
"Isn't that a dirty [expletive] thing to do?" White asked rhetorically after being queried about Filipovic's deal with DREAM. "He [expletived] me. The first time in the history of the company I do one over the phone. He promised me a three-fight deal and he [expletived] me." ...Cro Cop leaves the UFC with a 2-2 record in the Octagon. His record in Japan (mostly with Pride) is 23-4-2.
"He didn't keep his word," White said, who said he'd had a two-hour talk with Filipovic on the day Filipovic texted and asked to be able to return. "He talked about honor and all this other [expletive] and he [expletived] me.
"He fed me this bull [expletive] about wanting to take a run for the title, and what I think he did was, he went out and did this. He turned down every other [expletive] fighter I offered him, because I needed him to fight Cain. He didn't just poke Al-Turk; he poked me, too."

Dana White has been screwing the fighters for years. He deserves it.

Finishes a wounded opponent after a cheap shop in the eye. Show no compassion

dirty. thats all i can say.
did cro cop look different to anybody else. fat and sluggish. that is what he looked like to me.
crocop should go back to japan over there he isnt fighting anyone but dead beats anyway
Ha ha ... nice to see Dana White getting screwed for once. I guess Cro Cop realized that your contracts aren't geared to protect fighters (Ring a bell Jon Fitch?). At least you haven't lost that classy vocabulary Dana. Loretta Hunt must be enjoying one of your rare moments when you aren't completely in control of everything UFC
Ever heard of a contract? What kind of fly by night business you in?
Yeah, but the sports come a long way from its early myactivus. At least now it's regulated. Just checked out myfightteam.com too...pretty cool reality show trailer. How'd they get Mayhem do be the host? Love him in Bully Beatdown.
UFC atheletes are so poorly paid where promoter get everything a throw a penny to these fighters who have trained for years. The difference in salary between the boxers vs UFC fighters are so vast that it is disgusting where the pay/view prices is so high that they are making in upwards of 200-500 Millions vs average of 100K for the UFC fighters. It is sick.
He wanted to win and he sucks and went to where they all suck japan! com'on did you see him get knocked out by Gonzaga? he a joke a flop and dana should be glad to be rid of him
Ah yessss. The credible world of MMA "fighting" LOL A legalized version of Tough Man Competition where a Champion is created by either a cheap shot or lucky punch. LOL
If it weren't for the UFC employing these people, think how strong your garbage men would be.
Rich Franklin has a Master's degree in mathematics. I doubt he needs to worry about employment once he retires. He's smarter than you with one half of his brain tied behind his back.
LOL!!!! Isn't that the truth!!
Another great example is Matt Hughes. Hughes owns and operates his own fully functional farm in Illinois. He both works the farm and manages the administrative side of the family business. Along with that, Hughes holds a 4 year college degree and has worked as a wrestling coach in the past. I doubt Matt Hughes would worry much about finding a job or surviving without MMA fighting. Your blanket statement shows your ignorance and your prejudice. It is obvious that you think MMA Fighters are ignorant and capable of nothing more than winning a fight. It is also obvious your opinion of our public servants (i.e. "garbage men") is biased and you honestly feel you are both smarter and better for not holding the same job. Tom, what makes you so sure you are that much better than everyone else? Scale back the judgmental comments. Your character is showing and it has been found to be substandard at best.
Haha, yea thats funny.
Remember what you did to Tito? What goes around comes around.. Karma is a bitch
Don't know what looks sluggish and fat in the photos. Both look physically fit.
Cro Cop looks like hes juiced his arms and his body r massive this doesnt look like the old Cro Cop
