Comments (Page 1 of 2)
the game is even better than i thought it would be. i knew the fights would be good from the demo, but career mode is really fun too.
Great interview !!
Oh, I thought UFC was Utah Fried Chicken
Lmao...you should get out more often..you know theres grass and trees and birds and KFC!
ufc? cockfighting? who needs that crap, ban it. What the hell is the point of two morons beating each other up?
Funny how someone who is so opposed to it (McButpacker) is on here bashing? Why, if it is "crap" would you waste time commenting? Maybe it's because you'd never amount to anything other than a side-liner who has never been able to do anything other than hate on other's success. Your anger only solidifies the fact that this (MMA) is here to stay and is now the #1 viewed sport (ppv #'s) in the World.
there is no point to two morons beating each other up, but there is a point to WATCHING two morons beat each other up. it's like when a friend has a hang-over. it's funny because even though you know they feel poorly, you also know it's their own fault and the funniest part is, it's not you!
If people would not make rash judgements, the world would be a better place. I wonder if you feel the same way about football, rugby, or boxing? Most MMA fighters are very respectful of their opponents, good sportsmanship abounds. Of course there will be some grudge matches, but for the most part, they display a lot better sportsmanship than most. Morons, they are not. Even Tito Ortiz was commended by Donald Trump.
If Dana White and Vince McMahon fought to the death, who would the winner be?
A. Dana White
B. Vince McMahon
C. The rest of humanity
UFC 98? Hard to believe they've been doing this 55 years longer than the Super Bowl. Ha!
Dude this is for every1 saying MMA is cockfighting... How is MMA cockfighting if we choose to fight or not? We dont fight to the death, and they dont put razors on out hands (in cockfighting they put razors on there claws) Second of all we train about 4-8 hours a day depdending on how hard u train. Its a sport get over it
MMA has a natural draw(as dose boxing)it's primal, like the huge hit movie Jaws, people are just naturally scared of sharks. I just hope DW dose not turn it into a joke like the WWE. One last thing it would be smart to not have a PPV match every 4-6 weeks. It should be 3 events per year with a superbowl type of card. Keep it fresh!
With the exception of a very few, most MMA guys can't fight a lick. They can't box, they can't wrestle, and if they claim karate, judo or jujitso skils, they keep them well hidden. I mean what's the chance that a guy that knew how to wrestle would let someone sit on his chest and knock his ears off. For the most part, they are very fit, very tough guys that would probably knock the ears off of most folks, but most are just brawlers with little or no finesse, and the different MMA groups give them a chance to make a buck, regardless of their talent or lack of it.
Do you even watch the sport? Cuz I know you don't follow it or you'd have a way more intelligent comment than what you just posted.
Jim - that's one of the most ignorant comments I have ever read ... you obviously don't understand the sport or the difficulty associated with learning it's aspects.
great point mate.most of the fighters are not hopefully psycopaths but skilled martial artists.
they are very skilled professionals.
dana white is a brilliant promoter of the ufc mma.i cant stand the guy personally.i loathe him. maybe ive read him wrong.but hes sharp.
Dana would woop that A$$
DOOOOOOOSH BAAAGGGGGG
I think that Jim is right on. MMA does nothing more than satisfy our desire to watch a trainwreck...most are no more than brawlers with no technique. I coach high school wrestling, and he is correct anyone that knows how to wrestle would never let anyone sit on their chest and pound their brains in. When you mix two disciplines together (or more) like MMA does you get nothing but a mess. Thats all MMA is a controlled mess. When you box you have to be able to actually box. When you wrestle you have to be able to execute moves. In MMA you only have to sorta be able to do both. Yes these guys are tough and in good shape...but what they do looks like nothing more than a backyard brawl. I don't think that it will be taken seriously or reveared like boxing is...do any of you guys think that there will ever a Muhammid Ali type of figure to emerge from MMA. Most likely not. MMA is not really a joke....but it is another way for guys that are not so informed to be taken advantage by guys that are. Dana White publicly demeans guys that he does not like and even implied that one fighter wasn't very intelligent. What a guy...he seems fairly intelligent and definately appears to be very arrogant.
The great fighters (not the olds ones) are all very well educated in martial arts, many black belts in one or more disaplines, it is the uneducated spectator that thinks its takes no skill or is just brawling. The more you know the more you appreciate it. Ive been doing martial arts 19 years and believe me, what they do is not easy. It has already surpassed boxing in terms of fan base, and is here to stay..... It takes more skill than most people realize. You should take a BJJ class and see just how hard the ground fighting is.
