She may not have a home in the MMA world right now, but Gina Carano is still blowing up in the mainstream media world, as she will be ranked inside the top 20 of Maxim's "Hot 100" list for 2009.The news was passed along to FanHouse from Carano's agent, Matt Walker.
Carano is included in some pretty good company. Among the others listed from Nos. 11-20 include Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry, and Sports Illustrated swimsuit magazine covergirl Marisa Miller. The "Hot 100" issue will be released on May 13.

She hasn't fought since EliteXC's finale last October, and has been in negotiations with Strikeforce, but has also mentioned talking to the WEC. Strikeforce is hoping to put together the long-awaited Carano vs. Cris Cyborg matchup that was expected to come about in EliteXC until the company folded. She recently told FanHouse's Ariel Helwani that she expected to be back in action by August.
Her matchups on CBS saw the biggest audience draw of any fighter aside from Kimbo Slice. Since then she was profiled on ESPN's E:60 and had her likeness used in a videogame.
