Fedor Emelianenko is the best heavyweight in MMA and the best fighter who's not under contract to the UFC. Brock Lesnar is the new heavyweight champion of the UFC and the sport's most marketable star. So is there any chance they'll ever fight each other?"God, I hope so," said UFC President Dana White in our FanHouse live chat today. "That's not up to me. I can only try so much. There's only so much I can do."
According to White, it's a simple matter of Fedor and his representatives not wanting to fight in the UFC. Fedor's people have always said the UFC's fighter contracts are too restrictive. The UFC has always said that if everyone else in MMA agrees to its terms, Fedor should, too. And as a result, it's an impasse.
I have my doubts about whether Fedor will ever set foot in the Octagon. But like White, I sure hope to see it.

FEDOR WOULD SUBMIT BROCK IN THE FIRST ROUND. BROCK HAS SO MUCH POTENTIAL TO BE THE BEST IN THE WORLD AT HEAVYWEIGHT, BUT HE SERIOUSLY NEEDS AT LEAST 2 TO 3 YEARS OF BJJ & JUDO EVEN BEFORE HE STEPS INTO THE RING WITH FEDOR. I'M TRULY ROUTING FOR HIM TO GET BETTER AND I THINK THAT HIS WIN OVER A PAST HIS PRIME RANDY COUTURE IS UNFORTUNATELY A FACADE. IF HE HAD ANY SKILLS AT ALL ON THE GROUND, HE WOULD'VE EASILY SUBMITTED HEATH HERRING.
BUT I REALLY WOULDN'T WANT TO SEE HIM FIGHT FEDOR FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER YEAR OR SO, ANYTHING BEFORE THEN IS JUST ANOTHER PREDICTABLE FEDOR WIN.
You are right on, Lesner is a force for sure but needs time to mature.
