Jorge Masvidal signs with Bellator on ESPN Deportes

Jorge Masvidal, one of the first Latino/Hispanic names rumored to sign with Bellator Fighting Championship, will indeed fight on the promotion's series on ESPN Deportes.

The American Top Team told MMAFighting.com today that Masvidal has officially signed to compete in the lightweight tournament for a grand prize of $175,000.

Bellator Fighting Championship will crown four champions through a tournament format in the featherweight, lightweight, welterweight and middleweight divisions for a twelve episode, two-hour series on ESPN Deportes slated to air April 2009.

Masvidal (15-3) won his last two fights competing for World Victory Road's "Sengoku" in Japan.
