After Lesnar clipped Couture with a blow behind the ear in the second round, he wasted no time smashing him on the canvas with a bunch of hammer fists.
To Couture's credit, he tried to deflect some of the punches, but Brock's repeated attacks were just too much to handle. Referee Mario Yamasaki had seen enough and the fight was stopped at 3:07.
"Those are some big ham hocks coming at ya. It's hard to get out of the way," joked Couture, who had gone over 400 days since his last title defense.
At 6-3 and 275 pounds, Lesnar is packing more than just ham hocks. They looked more like cinder blocks in Las Vegas.

Brock is the MAN!!!!!!!!
bull
Brock is a beast, I do agree. Size mattered in this fight big time. Wondering if UFC will smarten up and make a super heavyweight bracket.
I loved Brock when he was in WWE, and I love him more in UFC..I agree with AJ, he is the MAN
I agree with AJ, Brock is the man..I loved him in WWE and even more in UFC
Congrats Brock you have beaten a true champion, to become the new champ. Keep up the ass whoopins....
i can't believe it
next time randy will finish him in the first round and i bet for that
simply couture is the man and we cann't judge who is better from 1 match
its time for brock and fedor
I just think you need to do your time! 2 fights and going for the belt? what happened to the long road???
Randy is the natural and always will be
I agree...2 fights and a shot at the title? Please! Randy is in great shape, but Still over the hill. I would like to see Lesnar against Fedor. Fedor is much to fast for Lesnar. Fedor over Lesnar by the end of the first round.
Everyone who wonders why Brock deserved a title shot in his fourth fight needs to remember that Randy Couture himself won the UFC title in his fourth fight.
why would randy throw the fight? money....he is already rich. Its tears your heart out when you see somebody throw a fight.
Brock will never be as good as "The Natural." He's won like 2 fights, and it used to be a long grinding road to the top. Try watching the past UFC's and you'll learn that.
say it aint so joe ufc gives a guy with a 1-1 record a title fight with a 50 year old guy who hasn,t fought in over a year (no disrepect Randy you are a great champion) i am sure this will bring in a huge number of pay for view customers mma is now boxing
I think there should be a new weight class for guys like Lesner.....Super heavy weight. It looked like Randy was not taking solid hits when he went down & the quick repetion of the small hits is what made it hard for Randy to control his hands..which led more to the stoppage more than "intelligently defending" himself.
This is a bad day for MMA. It's now become like MMA or the NFL, where you have to take PED's and look like a comic book superhero character to compete. America is becoming a strange place.
the fight was a fluke there is no way lesnar could stand with randy in his prime and like the name says "The Natural" couture is a mma stud and always will be lesnar is a wrestler and thats where he needs to be... for as big and strong as they say he is them hits where not at all hard just alot of them so fast... i agree that lesnar shouldn't of even been in the cage with couture 2 fights and you got a shot at a belt no... i am a heavyweight mma fighter and would fight lesnar anyday on everything ... just kimbo he belongs on the street and lesnar belongs in the wrestling ring not the cage... couture would demolish frank mir and frank mir beat lesnar so ask yourself one thing " How much money do you think the ufc made off a ex wwf wrestler beating one of the biggest mma studs to ever step in the cage????" ya i thought so i like lesnar but as the best mma heavyweight not a chance....
Another 'roided out wannabe. This whole UFC thing is so cheap! Put brock in with a real boxer and he'd be toast. At least the roids will help him go 3 solid rounds.
If i'm Randy Cotour I go oon the Brock Lesner diet of testosterone cypionate, deca durabolin, and Anadrol 50. Then I get my revenge. Drugs do make a difference!
Madonna, A-Rod, Jose, Barry, and Brock agree..............HGH works!
