The press conference was held at the ANA Intercontinental Hotel Tokyo. This year's event name subtitle was revealed to be "Yuki No Chikara," or Power of Courage.
Hansen (19-7-1) will fight for the first time since winning the DREAM Lightweight Grand Prix in July. He'll look to go 2-0 against Cavalcante (14-2-1), whom he defeated by majority decision at a Shooto event in July 2004.
Hansen and Cavalcante are currently ranked number 3 and 5, respectively, on MMAFighting.com's list of the top ten lightweights in the world.
Sakuraba (24-11-1) vs. Tamura (32-13-2) is a long-awaited fight for the fans in Japan.
Sakuraba asked Kiyoshi Tamura to fight under a special rules without gloves or a time limit. FEG said they would consider Sakuraba's suggestion.
