Sakuraba-Tamura, Hansen-JZ at Dynamite!! 2008

FEG announced today Joachim Hansen-Gesias Cavalcante and Kazushi Sakuraba-Kiyoshi Tamura for its New Year's Eve "Dynamite" event in Saitama, Japan.

The press conference was held at the ANA Intercontinental Hotel Tokyo. This year's event name subtitle was revealed to be "Yuki No Chikara," or Power of Courage.

Hansen (19-7-1) will fight for the first time since winning the DREAM Lightweight Grand Prix in July. He'll look to go 2-0 against Cavalcante (14-2-1), whom he defeated by majority decision at a Shooto event in July 2004.

Hansen and Cavalcante are currently ranked number 3 and 5, respectively, on MMAFighting.com's list of the top ten lightweights in the world.

Sakuraba (24-11-1) vs. Tamura (32-13-2) is a long-awaited fight for the fans in Japan.

Sakuraba asked Kiyoshi Tamura to fight under a special rules without gloves or a time limit. FEG said they would consider Sakuraba's suggestion.
