Randy Couture talks about his fight with Brock Lesnar at UFC 91, and he suggests that the difference between them is the simple fact that Couture has more all-around mixed martial arts skills:
"When I see Lesnar I see where I was 10 years ago," Couture said. "Pretty much a pure wrestler and trying to make the transition and learn the skills. ... He's a huge man with big old fists and a lot of upper body strength, and he moves well for a guy that size. ... He presents some interesting problems, and that's what's intriguing, that's what motivates me, that's what makes me want to go out there and fight him."
After the jump, another video in which Lesnar talks about his short MMA career.

Randy is always right.
Brock will whup him like a red headed stepchild.
Randy will clobber that big dumb ass.
Randy will make mince meat out of that big dummy!!!
if couture can withstand the early onslaught, hell win.brock needs a bit more seasoning but seems to be coming along. sure looks a hell of a lot better than kimbo ever did...
The unpredictability of this fight is what makes it interesting. In his last fight Brock dominated the veteran Herring ... he knocked him down, threw him around, and won easily. Minotauro was nearly knocked out and won by a close decision against the same opponent.
I'm a big fan of Randy in and out of the ring, but if you look at his career he doesn't have the stats to match his fame and notoriety. He had a good year in 2003 when he beat Liddell and Tito back to back, and 2007 wasn't so bad with Tim and Gabe ... though they are good fighters, Tim and Gabe aren't exactly Fedor & Josh.
It's unfortunite, but Brock has a legit chance of walking out of the ring with the belt.
ok wth are you talking about? close decision herring vs nog? nog won every round and nog even won the round he got knocked down. Nog has been taking knock downs like that for his whole career- Tim Silvia said it best "you knocked the guy down and when you think you have him beat he comes back and submits you". You let Rogan's commentationg for that fight coerce you is what i think.
If you saw the fight (Nog vs Herring) you obviously weren't watching very closely ... it could have been stopped in the 1st round and no one would have complained.
Do I think Big Nog is tough as hell and could continue? Yes. Do I think that Big Nog won? Yes, but it was close due to the head kick and near stoppage in the 1st round.
I give lesnar a very real chance to win this fight. As much as I admire Randy Couture, he is getting old and hasn't fought in a long time. Lesnar is young, very strong, with great wrestling skills. Granted Randy has all the experience, but Lesnar is just a physical beast.
I know a lot of people will bring up the fact that Randy totally dominated Tim Sylvia a much bigger man, but to me, Sylvia was soft. A guy with his size and reach should have been much more aggressive and dominating.
I will say that I think Lesnar has been totally mismanaged. He should have been brought along much slower with some 'tune up' fights before getting into the cage with the likes of tough, experienced, Frank Mir, a former champion, Heath Herring and and now Randy Couture.
