When fighters leave the UFC, they don't always do so on the best of terms. But at today's UFC 90 weigh-in, one former UFC fighter got a handshake and a hug from UFC President Dana White.
Tim Sylvia, the former UFC heavyweight champion who left the organization this year and signed with Affliction, attended the weigh-in because he'll be cornering Drew McFedries on Saturday night. And as McFedries stepped on the scale, Sylvia stepped onto the stage alongside White.
At first it looked a little awkward between Sylvia and White, like they were trying to avoid eye contact, but eventually they shook hands and even exchanged a brief hug. White has offered some rather pointed criticism of Sylvia in the last six months or so, but from the look of things, there's no Tito Ortiz-style animosity here.
