UFC 90: Tim Sylvia, Dana White Hug It Out

Stay connected for news and updates
When fighters leave the UFC, they don't always do so on the best of terms.

But at today's UFC 90 weigh-in, one former UFC fighter got a handshake and a hug from UFC President Dana White.

Tim Sylvia, the former UFC heavyweight champion who left the organization this year and signed with Affliction, attended the weigh-in because he'll be cornering Drew McFedries on Saturday night. And as McFedries stepped on the scale, Sylvia stepped onto the stage alongside White.

At first it looked a little awkward between Sylvia and White, like they were trying to avoid eye contact, but eventually they shook hands and even exchanged a brief hug. White has offered some rather pointed criticism of Sylvia in the last six months or so, but from the look of things, there's no Tito Ortiz-style animosity here.
