In the five days since he knocked out Kimbo Slice, Seth Petruzelli has made a series of public statements that don't reflect well on EliteXC or Kimbo, from saying EliteXC paid him a stand-up bonus to saying Kimbo was scared.Now there's another: Petruzelli says that after he whipped Kimbo, instead of getting a congratulatory handshake, he got a bunch of taunts and threats -- including people who were with Kimbo threatening Petruzelli's wife.
A Petruzelli interview with Sam Caplan includes the following exchange:
Sam Caplan: Can you talk about the aftermath? That was a pretty crazy scene around the cage with Kimbo's crew. At any point were you concerned for your safety?It's important to note that no one is suggesting that Kimbo himself did anything wrong. In fact, as I noted immediately followed the fight, Kimbo was a good sport about it. It's just too bad that not everyone with him was, too.Seth Petruzelli: Oh yeah, 100 percent. Afterwards, and I didn't know it at the time, buy my wife had got threatened a few times. My corner had got threatened a few times. I had stuff thrown at me from the crowd. As soon as I had got done circling and screaming, the athletic commission told me I had to calm down because the crowd was getting crazy. So I calmed down and said listen, "You've got to get me out of here." And I kind of started to get worried about my well-being at that point (laughs).
Sam Caplan: Did the threats against your wife and your corner come from Kimbo's fans or his corner?
Seth Petruzelli: It was some of his posse that was around the cage. Not all of them were like that but there were a few that were talking some crap that I wasn't very happy about.
Sam Caplan: (Laughs) Do you have any idea what they possibly could have been mad at you about aside from doing your job?
Seth Petruzelli: I have no idea. I heard this one kid, he kept saying "You cheated! You cheated! You cheated!" (Laughs) And I'm like, how the hell did I cheat!? I mean, what are you talking about!?

That sucked because I wanted Kimbo to show he was capable but after that performance I would have to say its time for people who do believe in Kimbo to accept this guy is way to amature for the MMA world but he puts on a great show. Keep tp the street fights slice.......
the Kimbo fight was stopped too early. None of the subsequent punches landed. Only that one shot, he was stunned by it, but could have easily continued.

There isn't a good camera angle to see the last few punches after Kimbo rolls on to his back, but he doesn't even have his hands up so I'm sure he is getting hit ... does it really matter though? Kimbo doesn't have the experience or the heart to fight through adversity.
Kimbo was knocked out. He woke and didn't know where he was. Thought he was still in the fight but could barely move the ref off him. He was pathetic and always will be. He lost. He can't take a punch. He is done.

XTC and CBS should be ashamed. Thinking they would make money on a backyard thug with a huge (ignorant) internet following. The guy who kicked his ass, wasn't even a full-time fighter...much less ranked. Any top 20 fighter would demolish him. He needs to go back to his backyard...XTC needs to dissolve...and CBS needs to re-evaluate what they need to do to stay competitive with the other networks...sad they had to resort to this circus.

FRAND SHAMROCK HAS BEEN DQ FOR IT. IF THAT WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED KIMBO COULD HAVE POSSIBLY RECOVERED AND GUARDED HIS SELF TO AVOID THE STOP. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME WATCH FOR YOURSELF.
