EliteXC on CBS: Kimbo Slice's Ratings Unchanged From Previous Fight

Kimbo Slice's second fight on CBS got the same ratings as his first.

TV by the Numbers reports that EliteXC on CBS got 4.3 million viewers and a 1.5 rating among adults age 18 to 49 on Saturday night for Kimbo's return to the cage, in which he lost to Seth Petruzelli. That is exactly the same overnight viewership as Kimbo's May 31 fight.

That means CBS lost to both ABC (which showed college football) and Fox (which showed America's Most Wanted).

And that means it's too early to say whether CBS will consider Saturday night enough of a success to broadcast another EliteXC card. The numbers are a big improvement over the summer card headlined by Robbie Lawler and Scott Smith, but are they good enough to keep the promotion on network TV, now that EliteXC's most marketable star has been exposed?
