Aug 24, 2008 - Japan's Takanori Gomi, widely considered to be among the best mixed martial arts lightweights in the world, defeated Seung Hwan Bang by unanimous decision at the World Victory Road Sengoku IV event in Japan. Here's the first round:
Gomi used his superior striking to win the fight convincingly. Bang is a fine fighter who entered the ring on a five-fight winning streak, but he's not in Gomi's class. Eventually, I hope Gomi fights some of the top lightweights in other organizations, as there really isn't much competition for him in World Victory Road.
Video of the second and third rounds are after the jump.
