Thiago Alves misses weight for UFC 85 main event

The 170-pound bout between Thiago Alves and Matt Hughes has been changed to a 174-pound bout after Alves failed to make weight Friday at the O2 Arena in London, England.

Alves stepped off the scales at 174 pounds, which is three pounds over the limit for a non-title welterweight bout. Hughes successfully cleared 170 pounds.

All the competitors in the ten other bouts made weight.
