Since former pro wrestler Chris Benoit murdered his wife and son and killed himself, we've heard a lot about "roid rage," a supposed symptom of using steroids which causes users to break into sudden bouts of violence. One former pro wrestler and steroid user, Ultimate Warrior, said in an often contentious interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News Channel that he thinks there's no such thing as roid rage and nothing wrong with taking steroids in moderation:
Warrior said, "When you talk about roid rage, roid rage for me is a pie-in-the-sky theory that's thought up by people who have no business discussing the frame of mind of an elite physical athlete."
He added, "You're trying to say that taking steroids is bad and I don't think that it is. ... I'm all for personal freedom....I'm tired of having my intelligence insulted."
Note: Fox News' claim that "60 wrestlers under 45 have died in the last 10 years" has been thoroughly discredited.
